L6.1 Coding, AI and Robotics
DF00104
Throughout this module, students will explore the exciting combination of coding, artificial intelligence, and robotics, developing engaging projects that deepen their understanding of technology. Using PictoBlox and Quarky, they will enhance their skills in creating animations, designing interactive games, and integrating AI-driven features such as object detection and tracking. Students will work on projects like the ‘Space Battle Game’, where they will learn about backgrounds, sprites, and game logic across multiple sessions. In robotics, they will program Quarky to perform various tasks, including motion control, drawing shapes, and detecting distances. The module also introduces advanced AI concepts like human body detection, finger tracking, and programming Quarky to respond to emotions and mimic expressions. By the conclusion of this module, learners will have gained practical experience in robotics, AI, and coding. They will develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, while discovering real-world applications of artificial intelligence and robotics in fun and interactive ways.
